Read a share alongside its activity change
FX and metals gained share in the August entry mix. A share depends on the named class and the rest of the denominator, so the bulletin reports class activity changes alongside shares. These observations describe the tracked instruction mix, not the wider market.
Weekends have a different composition
Crypto made up most weekend entry activity, although average weekend-day entry activity was much lower than the weekday average. A large share of a quieter period is compatible with a modest contribution to the full month. The linked Note makes that denominator distinction explicit.
Keep classification and timing limits visible
Market names are normalised before aggregation; Other remains in the denominator. Day types follow the source clock, whose time zone is unconfirmed. The observations do not establish market liquidity, and instructions can arrive when a market is closed.
