Definition and calculation
Use the released total instruction-activity percentage change for the full calendar months. Show the released standardised-week comparison separately: that comparison sums the average activity of each weekday in each month. Each percentage compares August with July on its stated basis.

Limits and comparability
- The calendar-month change and the standardised-week change answer different questions. Neither is a causal estimate.
- This measures relative instruction activity, not executions or trading outcomes. Two months establish a comparison, not a trend.
July comparisons use the August release’s consistent eligibility rules. They can differ from the separately published July bulletin. These are source-calendar months; the source time zone is unconfirmed.
